Collapsible Lattice Gates

These gates are primarily designed for use by the retail industry, where confined headroom within the building prevents the use of conventional security roller shutters. They provide the general public with maximum visibility whilst protecting the goods on display from theft. They are also ideal for Doctors Surgeries, Pharmacies and Residential Properties.

APPROVAL

These grilles are manufactured under stringent quality control standards in accordance with ISO 9002 procedures and are LPCB Level 1 approved.

SPECIFICATION

The L.P.C.B. approved, fully framed security barrier constructed with a trellis design is positively located within a securely anchored frame, suitable for expandable applications (where access is required) and fixed applications (where no access id required). The lattice gates are top hung to ensure a smooth and quiet operation, with low friction and minimal maintenance.

FRAME COMPONENTS

Constructed from hot dipped and mill flattened galvanised steel, roll-formed to lipped channels.  Edges are rolled back 180 degrees to eliminate sharp edges, increase strength in the channel and improve resistance to corrosion. When assembled, the frame is connected together by means of uniquely designed components. Shoulder slides are used in the frame.

TRELLIS SASH

Constructed from hot dipped and mill flattened galvanised steel roll-formed to a U channel. Edges are rolled back 180 degrees as above. The uprights are assembled into vertically opposed pairs, rigidly connected to one another using uniquely designed connectors. The trellis links are of a similar construction and cross a minimum of three upright pairs to maintain proportional spacing at all times. Dependent upon height, the rows of such linkages will number from 1 row on smaller units to 5 rows on larger units. The linkage assemblies are positively riveted across their entirety for increased strength and rigidity. The trellis uprights and framed components are secured with stainless steel semi-tubular rivets to provide positive strength.

BOTTOM TRACK

Manufactured from structural grade anodised extruded aluminium to a unique shape which secures the trellis sash. The design prevents the accumulation of dirt. The top track cover plate is designed to minimise access to the fixing and rolling mechanism. The lattice over the door sill, secured by stainless steel rivets adds integrity to the bottom track/upright integration.

BOTTOM TRACK - HINGE UP

The hinge assembly for the bottom sill enables hinging of the track up into the vertical position, thus leaving the floor area clear of any obstructions

BOTTOM TRACK - HINGE AWAY

The inclusion of a heavy duty hinge mechanism into a singular or double gate, allows the gate stack to be swung away giving wider access through the reveal.

ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS

These are fixed together by means of specially designed, stainless steel semi-tubular rivets. The trellis is secured into the anchor jamb and lock style using the same rivets.

LOCKS AND CYLINDERS

The Collapsible lattice gate has a variety of unique options. These have been designed to provide maximum security for a variety of applications and use. Specially designed draw bolt guides have been incorporated to reduce the risk of attack on the locking mechanism.

COACH SCREWS

All applications are secured by using unique tamper proof “coach screws”. The specialised screw head can only be extracted with a specialist drive socket. Fixing holes are reinforced with steel anchor plates.

FINISH

All steel components undergo a multi-stage chemical pre-treatment including phosphating prior to being powder-coated. Quality polyester powder, with ultra-violet inhibitors, is applied electrostaticly. These lattice gates can be powder coated to any standard BS/RAL colour.
